Why the roofline matters
Fascias carry the gutters, so when they rot, the gutters sag and leak. Soffits help ventilate the roof space, which helps keep condensation down in the loft. Gutters carry rainwater away from the walls. If one part fails, the others usually follow. That's why we look at the whole roofline, not just the part you called about.
